Hi ! from Tassie - Burnie
Tassie visited Burnie this weekend. Burnie has always been classed as a commercial town, with industrial buildings, shipping and manufacturers. Whilst this is true, there are many areas that are worth visiting. There is a great shopping centre. The Makers Workshop, Fish Frenzy on the Beach front and at the moment the whole Burnie foreshore is in the middle of redevelopments. I cant wait for it to be completed.
Tassie taking in his surroundings from Kmart Complex Car Park
Baltimores Restaurant on Marine Terrace. We went for Dinner here once and they served Crocodile Steaks. I am told it was Delicious
Tassie decided he would enjoy watching the action down on the wharf. Here is Burnies famous landmark the crane which is decorated at christmas time with christmas lights. We think it looks like an emu.
Here are some more links to find out about Burnie, Tasmania
Hi ! from Tassie - Deloraine Craft Market

Hi! from Tassie - Port Sorell & Shearwater
Tassie has been visiting Port Sorell. This is a gorgeous little town on the North West Coast of Tasmania . Tassie had a great deal of fun exploring and taking in the local sights. On this particular day there was a great deal of sea mist which had swept across the coastal town.

New Website for Tasmania
Exciting news!!! Tasmanian Softies are now being advertised by "Whats on 4 little ones - TAS" see link http://www.whatson4littleones.com.au/area/tas/ The wonderful people behind this website have a compassion for the Tasmanian Devil and want to help. They had no idea that the Tasmanian Devil was faced with such a devastating disesase.
Tasmania (TAS) has plenty of places to visit and things to do, especially for little ones. From Devonport and Launceston to Hobart, we have Tassie covered with comprehensive details of the classes, groups, activity providers, services and events in your local area, that you can enjoy with your young children under 5.
We aim to cover all areas of Australia including regional and rural towns and cities and not just focus on the capital cities.
It's completely free to search and we don't ask you to register.
All the information is quickly available, dates, times, venues, cost and everything else you need to know including links to websites and contact information plus a map to get you there!
Our information is up to date as the people running the activities, services and events can update their details whenever they like - day or night!
All of our listings are approved by our team before going live to assess their suitability to be listed and we aim to keep our prices very affordable to allow a wide variety of activity providers the chance to advertise. Our search function is designed so that you get the most relevant listings in your search results, saving you from going through irrelevant listings or services that are outside of your geographical region. This means that our directory is exclusive, comprehensive, accurate and up to date. We want to save you time!
You can also follow them on facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Whats-On-4-Little-Ones-TAS/212665075472164
So far I have seen ads for swimming lessons, fitness and fun for children over the holidays, Glenorchy carols by candlelight, Gowrie After School Care and playgroup Tasmania. I also like the website dedicated to parties... fun, fun, fun
