Hi ! from Tassie - Burnie

Tassie visited Burnie this weekend.  Burnie has always been classed as a commercial town, with industrial buildings, shipping and manufacturers.  Whilst this is true, there are many areas that are worth visiting.  There is a great shopping centre.  The Makers Workshop,  Fish Frenzy on the Beach front and at the moment the whole Burnie foreshore is in the middle of redevelopments.  I cant wait for it to be completed.

Tassie taking in his surroundings  from Kmart Complex Car Park

Baltimores Restaurant on Marine Terrace.  We went for Dinner here once and they served Crocodile Steaks.  I am told  it was Delicious

Tassie decided he would enjoy watching the action down on the wharf.  Here is Burnies famous landmark the crane which is decorated at christmas time with christmas lights.  We think it looks like an emu.

Here are some more links to find out about Burnie, Tasmania

Hi ! from Tassie - Deloraine Craft Market

Tassie visited Deloraine Craft Market in the afternoon.  We had a lovely time.  I bought some  Uncle Johns  Chocolate Licorice.  Yum!

We took in the very talented artists of Tasmania and enjoyed some of the gorgeous walks around Deloraine.

Hi! from Tassie - Port Sorell & Shearwater

Tassie has been visiting Port Sorell.  This is a gorgeous little town on the North West Coast of Tasmania . Tassie had a great deal of fun exploring and taking in the local sights.   On this particular day there was a great deal of sea mist which had swept across the coastal town.

Exciting news!!! Tasmanian Softies are now being advertised by "Whats on 4 little ones - TAS"  see link http://www.whatson4littleones.com.au/area/tas/  The wonderful people behind this website  have a compassion for the Tasmanian Devil and want to help.  They had no idea that the Tasmanian Devil was faced with such a devastating disesase.

This is a new service available to Tasmania..  check it out... worth a look : )
